Besides the MoBo, it's only running the two sata drives and the vid card - I don't overclock anything. It's a pretty tame system otherwise

Tehfunk, for a second there I thought you were using an old server for gaming but then I looked past your processor and RAM.  But you're really using an Opteron 2.5Ghz single core and 2GB of DDR Ram?  I'm not so sure you're gonna be able to run MW2 with that...unless the Opteron is dual core and that RAM is DDR2...

Well you definatly have the video cards to run it, you just bottlenecking your system at your RAM and then the processor, but the RAM is your main issue.  You would see definate improvements if you went DD2 or even DDR3 IMO.

I feel my response with a trackball, just rolling my thumb around, is much better than chasing a mouse around.  ALso, I have about three square inches of deskspace, so a trackball fits better

yes i use a trackball but not like 2sftkitties i use a different model. heres my model.                                            http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104249        i use this model because unlike using the thumb ball. on this mouse i use 3 different fingers simotaniously. index,middle,and ring fingers. and with all 3 used i feel that it has a better accuracy especially for sniping. but also with a regular mouse you have to pick it up and lay it back down to keep moving a single direction. with a thumb ball you have to keep moving your thumb back to the right spot.  but with mine when im doing major turns, i alternate the 3 fingers to keep one constant steady turn

This amazes me, Grill used to use a trackball too.  I had no idea so many gamers use them???  I guess the real question is this...well I guess the real two questions are these:

1) Is it as accurate as a 3000dpi gaming mouse?

2) I'm pretty sure they stopped making them, that or they are phasing them out, what are you going to do when your trackball breaks and you have to replace it?

thats a moment im not expecting to have anytime soon.
1. you can tell by the weight of the trackball mouse that they are built sturdy they weight 2-3 times more then any regular or wireless mouse they are solid.
2. it also depends on what type you buy. microsoft makes them also as a thumb trackball. but they use a type of infarred sensor for the ball. the lens that the ball sets in is very delicate and if scratched with cause the ball to catch and grip sides.
Logitech makes theirs like a normal mouse 3-4 rotating microballs surrounding the trackball which are programed and set to recieve and send the movement of the ball in the direction of your choosing. my mouse is basicly a standard mouse upside down. with 2 buttons on each side of the trackball.
the only real downside ive found with any trackball mouse is that every now and then id say 2 week time frame i take the ball out and clean the ball base. and the microballs inside the base.

not only that but also trackballs are alot cheaper then all Razer mouse brands.

2sftkitties-logitech thumb trackball = $29.99
Carbon,and Longbonghit both use that exact same mouse. thumbball

so overall if we need to replace these very well sturdy built mouses that weight 2-3 times more then a razor momba.
we will be paying only $30. compared to $100+.

oh also for further information as i said with a normal mouse you have to repeatedly pickup and reset the mouse to do one constant turn.

well with this mouse comes a drivers disk to allow you to do more tweeks then a normal windows application such as 2 button macros and super scroll. not just maxed speed scroll you can add to it with this program.

hint i have killed quite a few people while fazed by tabun gas, the reason being i turned my mouse sens up in windows and at 1/2 super speed in logitech driver sets and when in tabun phase i just take the ball and spin really hard once and i am able to do a complete 1/4 to sometimes 1/3 turn while phased by the tabun gas. this makes it easy to kill while tabuned.

and also to the above question what to do when replace this  mouse.
LongBongHit has had his mouse same version as 2sftkitties for more then 5 years and it is finally giving out but only on the 2 buttons. they glitch out every now and then but thats also from 5+ years of FPS games. you tell me is that a long life span or what. hint still works thought. just glitchy buttons.

if anybody were to get a new mouse and willing to try something different i would strongly suggest either thumb trackballs or middle trackballs by logitech. i know more people that use them and are satisfied extremely with them then any other type mouse.

My right middle finger is always leaning on the orller wheel button to run, with my other two main right fingers ready for fire (LMB) or nade(RMB)

And then of course there is the third arm which is trying to placate the cat who has decided THIS is the time he wants to snuggle.

A_Milf:    go to your start menu and choose run.exe.  then type dxdiag. click enter and it will boot up a window with several tabs on it.
out of those many tabs there are names of your hardware such as: 
Systems tab--> processor, and memory.
Display tab--> Name of Graphics Card, and Approx total memory(Graphics Card)
Sound tab--> Name of Sound Device

then you just have to find your Motherboard name and brand from: Manual,MOBO-box,or the Dealer.
then just add your model and brand of your: mouse,keyboard,monitor,and game pad if you have one.

No, that's a downgrade Milf, you need to go with a 9600GT or better.  Remember the first number in the series tells what generation it is, the second number tells how powerful it is.  So like a 8600 would beat a 9500 but not a 9600.  Your 6600 would definatly beat a 9400, trust me, I have one in my guest computer, it won't even run CoD5 on all low settings.  If I were you I would be looking at 8800 or 9800 or GTX 275 or better.  You'll see big improvements from these cards and they'll be guaranteed to run CoD6.

Really though, you are just in dire need of a whole new PC setup.  Heck, you could get a pretty nice base system like this one...

Then pick up a nice little video card (nVidia 8800 or ATI 4850 and above) for like $600 total.  That's like an WHOLE new computer monitor included and it would be a nice little gaming machine.  Wouldn't be the fastest thing out there but it would do what you need it to for at least a couple more years and do it well.

While I don't typically recommend getting a computer from Wal-Mart, because of lower quality, they even have a quad core setup for under $500 (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=11082485), still would need a graphics card and a monitor and I'm not so sure about that brand but still, that's cheap for a quad core computer.

and, Good news!! i bought a couple of parts off newegg to semi-overhaul the pc!   New mobo, new processor, and new ram. ill throw all those in and reformat the OS and start anew with windows 7 64bit next week.
