You know, I kinda hope you're wrong Dark. I picked a Gamestop that is kinda out of the way and close to a low income part of town. I figured that there wouldn't be droves of people if they couldn't afford a console or computer, we shall see though...I just don't want to be at gamestop all night. I want to walk in at midnight, grab my copy of the game, pay for it and walk out and drive home.

Well where I am at I got 4 GameStops to choose from. But they are all within .5 miles of each other. Basically two in the mall one on the top floor one on the bottom where a EB games was. Then down the street there is one across from a Barnes and Noble bookstore. then right across the street behind a Burger King is another. But me and my friend are going to the one in the mall on the top floor since it is one of the better ones. So yeah with how big CoD4 was (being that it has a game of the year edition) I wouldn't dobt that MW2 will have alot of pre-orders or even people walking in at midnight. But it wouldnt be as bad as the midnight release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows which was the last book, people didn't get finished till the store actaully had to open at like 9:30am.

Here's the new trailer...
Graphics look a bit weak but this is the Xbox 360 version we are watching so PC should be much better. WOOT for it being set in Washington D.C. I've always dreamed of fighting in a war on my home soil, now I will get the chance and I will straight PWN those foreigners! |

Wanna bet? I'll bet that this game will beat out everything CoD4 did by over 50%, it's going to be HUGE. They are doing everything right, their community managers are working overtime and hyping the crap out of the game, keeping people interested by releasing little tidbits here and there. This will be the MOST preordered game in history and I'll put money on this launch stomping Harry Potter. I wouldn't have bothered to put so much thought into where I preordered the game from if I didn't think it was going to be ridiculous at the midnight launch. In fact I wouldn't even be going to the midnight launch except for the fact that somebody is going to have to start uploading all the game files to the game servers so it can be launched on day one. |

Schlup I was comparing that MW2 will be like Harry Potters last book release. And that CoD4 did great since it became game of the year but MW2 will blow it out the water. I didn't mean for it to sound like it wasn't going to be big. I know the pre-orders will be huge. Also that even though people pre-order it there will be people that still come in to purchess it when it is released. I hope that any and all gamestops will do what they did at B&N when HP was released though. They had you come in the morning to get a number if you preorder it you got like a yellow paper with a number on it then if you were a walkin you get like a blue. so that those that preorder get it first then the walkins wait. I am not dissing on MW2 but agreeing with you Schlup.

Graphics would of been better if they filmed it on a PC. Why do PC gamers allow this? Games are being held back due to low performance of the 360 and PS3.

They built it for the Xbox 360 and are porting it over to PC and PS3. They JUST started porting it within the last few days so they couldn't record it for PC.
